Printing planner stickers – top tips for a quality result

My top tips for printing planner stickers are below – whether you’re using a machine or good old hand cutting:

Use a great full sheet sticker paper. I recommend Rock Paper Scissors – while you can get a bit higher in quality – you can not beat this price – under $20 for 100 sheets.
You want to make sure that any sticker paper you use has a full backing and not a perforated backing (this can make peeling your stickers an absolute nightmare)

Use a good printer when printing planner stickers. The printer makes all the difference. I tossed my epson and now exclusively use the HP Envy with the HP Instant Ink program.

Usually, I use my Silhouette Cameo to cut stickers. If you’re using your cameo, be sure that you turn on registration marks. I set the registrations to 6.00 on all settings except thickness.

Your Silhouette settings may vary, but after I trace the items to be cut, I set my cut settings on white sticker paper and change my blade to a 2 for kiss cut for all of the stickers.

If you’re hand cutting these stickers, you’ll need to be sure to use detail scissors

If you aren’t using sticker paper or a cameo – then opt for a better grade of copy paper and a repositionable glue stick for best results.

You can turn anything in to a sticker with the Xyron Sticker machine – it’s less than $16 and safes a lot of hassle with that glue stick 🙂
