Ornament Christmas Card

Hey – you’re a reader of GSM so you know how much I love to play with stamps, but sometimes, I’m feeling like branching out a little bit and getting creative with nothing but a little bit of paper and glue.

Today’s project is a simple card that you can make and you don’t need a special stamp set to do it.

Ornament Christmas Card Supplies Needed (not all are pictured)

Begin by folding each of your circles in half with the pattern on the inside of the fold. Use a bone folder to crease each fold.

Next, glue your circles together side fold to side fold.

I use a binder clip to hold my circles together until the adhesive dries.

Next, insert a greeting on your card panel using a Christmas sentiment rub-on or Christmas Greeting stamp.

Take about 5 inches of twine and tie a bow in the center. One tail will be adhered behind the ornament and one tail will be stretched up to the top of the panel and secured on the backside with washi tape.

I’ve added a few pieces of scor tape to the back of my ornament. You could use any adhesive here, but scor tape seems to really do the trick of holding the twine and holding the ornament to the panel. From here, you’ll put one tail of the bow behind the card and one tail will stretch to the top of the panel, secure it on the back with washi tape as I just mentioned above.

Finally, I used Ranger Multi-Medium Mat and my EK Success Tweezers to add a few sequins to the front of my card. I also added a dark turquoise enamel dot to the top of the ornament for a bit more appeal.

This card isn’t able to be mailed, but it definitely adds flair to a gift that you’ll hand deliver this Holiday.
