Should I tell my friends about gluten free sausage balls? I wondered semi out loud while Gabby and my mom began making them in the kitchen on Sunday morning.
I’m not really a food blogger (you’re welcome).
But I am a nice person – so I should get a little off topic sometimes and show people my nice side.
That’s what this post is, an attempt to show you nice Brandy.
“I want sausage balls when you come” gabby told my mom when she learned that mom would be coming to stay the week with us while my husband was away on business.
My mom always stays here when he’s away. Yes she likes him, no I’m not afraid to stay home alone – but some nice mom/daughter/granddaughter bonding time never hurt anyone.
Mom stopped by the grocery store on her way here and grabbed the items to make both gluten free sausage balls (for me) and poisonous (gluten) sausage balls for everyone else.
I’m only sharing the gluten free sausage balls recipe here because again, I’m being nice Brandy, mean Brandy would tell you how to poison yourself with gluten – and I’m sure you can find plenty of other ways to do that on pinterest.
Yummy Gluten Free Sausage Balls Recipe
Preheat oven to 350
1 1/2 Cups of Gluten Free Pancake Mix
2 C shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb Gluten Free sausage
(note, the sausage in my photos isn’t specifically gluten free)
Gluten Free Sausage Ball Directions:
Place all ingredients in large bowl and blend together with your hands (side note: Take off your rings…) then roll out little balls, about the size of a large walnut and place on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350 for about 12-15 minutes – until crust is golden and sausage is cooked through
Makes about 30 sausage balls depending on your scoop – can be adjusted to make more or less by adjusting size of ball and cooking duration.
Now, you be nice too and pin this so your friends can enjoy.
