DIY Washi Bookmark

by Brandy Burke

Two things planners have – a planner and a whole bunch of washi. Today we’re creating a planner bookmark out of washi but if you’re not a planner (you should begin planning) this washi bookmark is a simple creation to use in any book. Watch the video below and then scroll down to view supplies, instructions and some of my favorite washi for your collection.

Washi Bookmark Supplies Needed:

Washi Bookmark Instructions:

  • Measure 2.5″ on either side of one corner of your envelope
  • Use your Xacto knife to cut the corner at the marks
  • Layer strips of Washi in the order of your choice
  • Trim excess washi
  • Turn over and repeat process

We all grab washi from our local craft store – I’m lucky enough to have both a Hobby Lobby and a Michaels within a few blocks of each other. But I’ve found that buying washi from here is far cheaper if you can wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive.

Don't leave, read these instead...
